GOING THROUGH IMMIGRATION
( 2012-10-12 )

You and your mother have just arrived at the Vancouver Airport. You follow the signs that lead to the Immigration Counters. You stand in line and wait for your turn to speak to an Immigration Officer. After a few minutes, the officer signals you to go up to the counter.

A: Good morning. May I see your passports please?
B: Here they are. This is mine and this is my mother's.
A: How long have you been away?
B:About a month. I was in Taipei to help my mother prepare for her move to Canada. She's landing today.
A:Very well, let me have a look at her immigration paper.
B: It's right here attached to her passport.
A:I'm going to date it, and also stamp your passports. You can now claim your luggage and proceed to the Customs Office.
      B:Thank you.
