COMPLAINING TO YOUR APARTMENT MANAGER
( 2012-02-03 )

Your next door neighbour has been playing his rock and roll music at high volume the whole morning. You also find that the bathroom hot water tap has been dripping and you cannot turn it off no matter how hard you try. You are so annoyed that you finally decide to call the apartment manager to have both problems fixed.
A: Good morning, Mr Hanson. I was wondering if you could please tell the tenant in 2B to turn down his stereo.
B: Has he been playing it very loudly in the evenings?
A: No, but he does play it full blast in the mornings.
B: Have you asked him to turn it down?
A: Yes, many times, but it doesn't seem to matter. Perhaps you should talk to him, since you are the manager.
B: OK, I'll take care of it right away.
A: While you're here, I'd like you to look at the hot water tap in the bathroom.
      B: What's wrong with it?
A: It keeps dripping and I can't turn it off.
B: Does it drip all day, or only after you've used it?
A: It leaks night and day and it's driving me crazy.
B: All right, I'll come back right after lunch to take care of it.
A: Good. I'll be expecting you.
