Your children need winter clothes. You take them to a large department store.  There you look at the directory and find that the children's department is on the second floor. You take the escalator up to the second floor and look around for some winter shirts. A salesperson greets you.
      A: May I help you?
      B: Yes, I'd like to buy winter shirts for my two boys.
      A: What sizes do they take?
      B: Kim takes size 6, and Jay needs size 10.
      A: What colours do you want?
      B: Blue or green is okay.
      A: We have these boys cotton shirts on sale today.  They only come in navy blue and maroon.  They're the latest style.
      B: I like both colours, but I want the boys to try them on and decide for themselves.
      A: Certainly, the fitting rooms are on your right.
      B: Thanks.
      (The children try on the new shirts and are pleased with them.) The shirts are a good fit.
      We'll take the navy blue shirt in size 10, and the maroon one in size 6.
      A: That will be $24.06.  Is that cash or charge?
      B: Cash, please.

      你的孩子需要冬天衣服，你帶他們到一百貨公司去，在那裏你看指示圖知道童裝部在二樓。你們乘電梯上樓後，往童裝部尋找冬天恤衫，這時有位售貨員走過來招呼你。

     （孩子們試穿過恤衫，他們都感滿意。）恤衫很合身，我們就買10號的寶藍色恤衫和6號的深色恤衫。
      甲：共要廿四元零六分，你用現金還是信用卡付款呢？
      乙：現金。謝謝。

      1. May I help you?——有什麼可以為你做呢？一句意思相同的用語是What can I do for you?
      2. I'd like to=I would like to——意思上和I want to差不多，不過語氣比較客氣。
