      MAKING AND KEEPING APPOINTMENTS
In Canada most services offered by doctors, dentists, teachers, lawyers, accountants and government agents require appointments for visits. Special time is given for each appointment, since a large number of appointments are made daily. It is expected that you come to your appointment at the exact time given; if you don't, you may lose your appointment time. When for some important reason, such as sickness or an emergency, you cannot come, you must still call as early as possible to change or cancel your appointment. Some services charge you for their time, if you do not call 24 hours in advance to cancel or change your appointment.
