You are waiting at your doctor's office. The nurse tells you that it is now your turn to go in to see the doctor.
A: What seems to be the trouble, Mrs Wei?
B: I feel awful, Dr Walters! My head aches, my throat is sore and I have an upset stomach.
A: You also seem to have a fever. I'll take your temperature.
(After a while) You do have a slight temperature. Let me examine your ears and throat. Are you coughing?
B: Just a little.
A: I'm going to take your blood pressure and listen to your heart and lungs.
(Later) Well, everything's fine. Your lungs are clear, too.
B: Doctor, I think I also have a bit of diarrhea.
A: How often are you having bowel movements?
B: Several times a day.
A: What are your stools like?
B: They're very soft.
A: It appears you have a mild case of the flu. I'll give you a prescription for an antibiotic, and the name of a cough syrup that you can buy over the counter. Come back and see me in a few days if you don't feel any better.
