( 2011-04-01 )

Microsoft (n.微軟) has sold more than 10 million Kinect sensor (n.傳感器) systems since launch (n.推出) on 4 November, and - according to Guinness (n.吉尼斯) World Records - is the fastest-selling consumer electronics (n.電子) device (n.產品) on record.
The sales figures (n.數字) outstrip (v.超越) those of both Apple(n.蘋果)'s iPhone and iPad when launched (v.推出), Guinness said.
Kinect is an infrared (n.紅外) camera add-on (n.周邊設備) for Microsoft's Xbox 360 games console (n.控制台) that allows it to track (v.捕捉) body movements.
The success of Kinect has also helped to drive (v.推動) games sales, Microsoft said. More than 10 million games have been sold worldwide (adv.在全球) to date (adv.
Gaz Davies (n.戴維斯), editor of Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer(n.電子遊戲迷)'s Edition, said: "We can confirm (v.證實) that no other consumer electronics device sold faster within a 60-day time span (n.期限), an incredible (adj. 鑑於) the strength of the sector (n.
Guinness World Records said that Microsoft sold eight million devices between 4 November last year and 3 January at an average rate of 133,333 a day.(BBC, March 10)
