You are getting ready to go to work. Your car doesn't start quickly and the motor makes a lot of noise. You are worried that something is wrong. On your way you stop at a garage that does repairs. You speak to the mechanic.

       A: My car doesn't start quickly and it makes a lot of noise.  Can you take a quick look at it?
       B: I'll check your battery first of all.
       A: Thanks.
       B: Well, the trouble isn't with the battery.  It's probably the alternator. I'm afraid you'll have to leave your car here for a thorough check up.  We'll put it on the diagnostic machine to examine the engine.
       A: I can't leave my car here now. I have to go to work. 
       B: No problem, we'll let you use our courtesy car.
       A: That's great! When will my car be ready?
       B: It should be ready by 4 o'clock.  Just leave your phone number and we'll call you if there are any major problems.

       你去上班時，汽車發動得不夠快，而且馬達又發出很多噪音。你擔心汽車有毛病，便在途中一間修車廠停下，將情況告訴修理技工。

       甲：我的車發動得不夠快，又發出很多噪音。你可以立即看看嗎？
       乙：我會首先檢查一下電池。
       甲：謝謝。
       乙：唔。毛病不在於電池，很可能是在交流發電機。恐怕你要把車留下作徹底檢查。我們會把車放在測試機器上來檢查汽車的引擎。
       甲：我現在不能把車留下，我要上班呀。
       乙：沒問題，我們可讓你使用我們的客人車。
       甲：好極了！我的車什麼時候會修好呢？
       乙：四點鐘應該已修好了。你只要留下電話號碼，如果有什麼大問題我們會打電話給你。
