You want to go shopping downtown.  You don't want to drive, so you decide to take a bus.  When a bus arrives at your stop, you get on and ask the driver if his bus goes downtown.
A: Excuse me.  Does this bus go downtown?
B: Sorry, I don't go all the way. You'll have to transfer at 10th Avenue and catch number 10 going north.
A: That's OK.  How much is the fare?
B: A dollar fifty. Please put the exact change in the coin box.  I don't give change.
A: May I have my transfer now?
B: Yes, here it is.
A: Will you please tell me when to get off?
B: Please take a seat, and I'll call your stop.
你想到市中心購物，但不想駕車去，便決定搭巴士去。巴士來到車站，你上車後便問巴士司機是否到市中心去。
甲：對不起，這巴士是不是到市中心的？
乙：對不起，我不去那麼遠。你需要在第十街轉車，改乘北行的十號車。
甲：好的。車費是多少呢？
乙：一元五角。請將正確的車費放進錢箱內。我沒有零錢找給你。
甲：可不可以現在給我的轉車票呢？
乙：可以。就在這裡。
甲：請你告訴我何時下車好嗎？
乙：請找個座位。到站時我會叫你。
